Don,
I was having a drink with Don McGregor the other day and he told me you
were not too well.
Whenever I think of you I remember those lovely sails we had with Rosie in my
little sailboat on Lake of Two Mountains near Hudson - after work at the
NFB or on a Sunday afternoon - with a picnic.
We'd sail over to Oka on the north shore and sometimes buy some cheese. And
drink a lot of wine and get tipsy and sail about with stars in our eyes.
Great memories.
I don't know if you knew Lindalee Tracey at the Board. She's my wife and
mother of our Liam (age 15 hockey goalie). Lindalee's been through a rough
time with breast cancer, mastectomy, recurrence - going downhill fast with a
collapsed lung, serious weight loss - and then this miraculous new
genetically targeted drug - Herceptin - which is big news in Canada. Her
turn around has been unbelievable and we now expect her to be with us for
many years to come!
Keep smiling.
Best to Rosie.
We miss you
Peter
PS: My ancestors - Raymonts - were Huguenots from Tavistock. You must be
nearby - Torquay? - I hope to be over there for a film festival in October
and will find you.
